Who's your cable guy?
For the first time in 30 years Pittsburgh residents will be able to choose who provides their cable. The Post-Gazette reports the city is negotiating a contract that would allow Verizon to compete with Comcast, the current provider.
Comcast's Bob Grove spokesmen comments:
We think we are very competitive, and when you get competition,Wait, are you saying competition leads to better service? What a novel idea. I wonder if this principle would work in other service industries . . . like electricity.
consumers win, said Mr. Grove. We knew this was coming, and we're going to compete for every inch of the territory.
