Is the GOP Still the Party of Economic Growth?

John Tamny has a scathing RealClearMarkets column on the national economic policy of the last 7 years, implying that, had you been stuck on an island with Jack, Sawyer, and The Others, you wouldn't realize the GOP had been in power.

And he does so focusing solely on tax policy (i.e. "rebates"), monetary policy, and trade policy. He could go on to address the spending growth under Bush (Medicare expansion, dramatic growth in earmarks) etc.
