Don't write off vouchers
Robert Enlow in USA Today on the merits of school voucher programs. Enlow is providing the counterpoint to a piece arguing for moving away from the push for vouchers and focusing on charter schools and interdistrict choice.
Of course, there has been longstanding debate over offering financial assistance for school choice through tax credits rather than vouchers (such as Pennsylvania's own EITC), and promoting special needs scholarships (rather than universal or even means-tested vouchers) - both of which have proven more politically palatable.
