Corporate Welfare Fails to Save PA Jobs
Amazon is closing distribution centers in three states, including one in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Just last year the state "helped" the world's leading on-line retailer to open a new distribution center in Hazleton, and it only cost taxpayers $1.75 million.
We hear again and again that we need to "invest in our state" to bring more jobs to Pennsylvania. But corporate welfare doesn't create new jobs, it's just an expensive way of redistributing them with your tax dollars.
