Stimulus: Good For Government, Bad For the Economy

This video by Dan Mitchell on the stimulus offers a quick primer on the "stimulus" package, and why government spending will fail - and why previous expansions of government spending/"stimulus" spending (Truman, FDR, and George W Bush) failed to grow the economy.

My commentary for today makes the same point, but using Pennsylvania spending under Rendell as the case study.  Heritage provide a quick Stimulus 101.

ALEC has a page of resources against the Federal Bailout of the States and NTU has an Action Page

Dan Mitchell is terrifc and the graphs are most helpful. Your headline "Stimulus Good for Government;bad for economy" is perfect.
