Stimulating Government

The Galen Institute has a new analysis of health care proposal in the propose "economic stimulus", specifically proposals moving toward greater federalization of health care, which has indeed been an unreported aspect of the "stimulus."  More on that front from the Heritage Foundation.

Sen. Jim Demint offers his criticism of the stimulus bill, as well as some proposals to stimulate the private sector, not government.  A good place to find all the pork in the bill is StimulusWatch.

Pennsylvania's own Senator Arlen Specter is expected, as is often to be the case, to be a pivotal vote.  He told the Pennsylvania Press Club earlier this week that he had not made up his mind, because he hasn't read the bill yet.  He should get started over at readthestimulus.org - as should anyone who want to read and comment on the legislation.
