Pennsylvania's economic climate gets another bleak ranking

The Beacon Hill Institute has issued a new report on state economic competitiveness.  Not surprising, Pennsylvania ranks poorly - 39th out of the fifty states.  You can find the rankings and the Pennsylvania profile (page 53) in the full report here.

• ALEC-Laffer State Economic Competitiveness Index - 44th on Economic Performance; 37th for Economic Outlook (1 is best)
• Fraser Institute Labor Markets in the US and Canada - 49th (out of 60, 1 is best)

• Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council Policy Environment for Entrepreneurship. - 24th (1 is best)
• Tax Foundation State Business Tax Climate Index - 28th (1 is best).
