The Worst Energy Ideas of 2008

The American Magazine has an article on the worst energy ideas, including: "energy independence," and "green jobs".

On that front, Pete DuPont has a WSJ column on the removing the bans on offshore drilling, noting there is a lot of oil there, and drilling (or threatening to) would reduce the price of gasoline now (a fact considered common knowledge among economists).

It is looking increasingly likely that the ban on offshore drilling will be allowed to expire at the end of the month (though perhaps only for a few months). CNN has the map of where drilling could occur.

Drilling offshore oil wells will not solve our current problem, big deal!
