Kanjorski Earmark Denied

The US Department of Transportation is refusing to fund an earmark put in place by Rep. Kanjorski.

The earmark was intended to fund a parking garage near Kanjorski's monument to himself - the Kanjorski Center (also built with federal taxpayer's money). The earmark came in the 2005 Highway Bill - i.e. money that Pennsylvania could have used to repair our crumbling bridges.

In other earmark related news, Citizens Against Government Waste is tracking earmarks in the current Congressional budget bills, and the Club for Growth quotes a Republican Congressman who subtly notes, "There's no way in hell I would support banning earmarks."
