Georgia Charter School Success

Our sister think tank, Georgia Public Policy Foundation, highlights the success that charter schools are enjoying in the state.

85% of the state's 71 charter schools met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in 2006. In 2007, the charter high schools experienced a graduation rate of 90%, compared to an average 72% of public schools.

More and more states are experiencing these levels of achievement from charter schools since competition yields improvement.

Check out Edifice Complex, which highlights the benefits of cyber charter schools in Pennsylvania.
