Surprise! Stadium Predictions Flawed

David Boaz comments on reports that the taxpayer-subsidized baseball stadium for the Washington Nationals isn't paying dividends. But then, we already knew that, and Boaz cites a slew of Cato research showing that sports stadium subsidies don't pay off.

Guess that settles that matter and no longer will taxpayers pay to subsidize the bottom lines of sports owners.

I'm just messing with you - economics aside, Governor Rendell and Senator Pileggi will still look great posing with a giant cardboard check for $45 million for a soccer stadium.
