Turnpike Comission seeks private bidders to finish roads

With no sense of irony, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is adverstising for for "expressions of interest" from private firms interested in finishing and managining the Mon-Fayette Expressway and Findlay Connector.

While the Turnpike Commission wants the benefits of private funding and efficiency for 50 miles of new road, they will continue to use toll revenue to lobby against private funding and efficiency on the rest of the Turnpike - i.e. their patronage mill.
