Turnpike Commission’s Posh Travel Spending

WGAL News 8has a story on the toll-funded travel expenditures for Turnpike CEO Joe Brimmeier, including some high priced dinners.

On a trip to Chicago, for instance, the Turnpike picked up the tab for a $42 steak and $12 lobster soup for Brimmeier.

"Quite frankly, I'm not changing my eating habits. If I enjoy a steak on my own time, I want a steak when I'm conducting business, too," Brimmeier said.

That is absurd – when in Chicago, you should be getting stuffed/deep dish pizza, Polish sausage, or a Wreck from Potbelly's
