Rendell still pushing RendellCare

Within the last few weeks, three state health care proposals fundamentally similar to Governor Rendell's "Cover All Pennsylvanians" added to my "bad ideas pile"

• California legislators overwhelming rejected Arnold Schwarzenegger’s $15 billion health care proposal.
• An analysis of Dirigo Care in Maine finds that most of the few signing up were previously covered in private insurance.
• And in Massachusetts, costs are dramatically exceding expectations, and the Connector Authority is addressing the problem by capping premiums, cutting reimbursements to providers, and reducing consumer choices.

Unfortunately, Governor Rendell seems to be pulling his policy proposals from my bad ideas pile, as in his budget address he continued to call for immediate passage of RendellCare.
