Economic Freedom and Prosperity
The Heritage Foundation, in conjuction with the Wall Street Journal, released the Index of Economic Freedom 2008.
The rankings have not change dramatically from past years, but what I always find most interesting is the correlation between economic freedom and prosperity (which you can see from the executive summary) - for instance, per-capita GDP is $28,000 among the top quintile (top 20% of nations in economic freedom) vs. $4,000 among the bottom quintile.
