State Liquor Stores Show Age
Delco Times editorial on the need to privatize the state liquor stores. Dismissing the myth of state-run stores protecting against underage drinking (through anecdotal evidence, though a report from the LCB itself finds that underage drinking in PA is higher than the national average and comparable to other states in the Northeast), they focus on the improving convenience to customers and cutting back on the 400-plus patronage jobs at Harrisburg headquarters.
Hat Tip to Tony Phyrillas.
