Following Feds letter Gov Rendell says he prefers lease of Turnpike to tolling of PA/I-80

Toll Roads News on the recent communication from the Federal Highway Administration to the PA Turnpike Commission. The last line of the article says it all:

"No amount of Brimmeier data or dialog can reconcile the irreconcilable. It
can however provide a rationale for procrastination by legislators and give the
Turnpike Commission time to devise another gambit in their struggle for
survival."

Although the FHWA letter was not an outright rejection, reading the details of the letter shows precisely where this process is headed. It is time for Gov. Rendell and the General Assembly to wake up and not get fooled again by the worst government agency in PA (yes, even worse that PHEAA!).
