Drunk on ethanol
Los Angeles Times article on politicians love for ethanol - mandating its use and subsidizing its production, while keeping high tariffs on foreign ethanol. They also point out how ethanol is insufficient to replace oil, takes gasoline to produce and distribute, harms the environment as much as helps it, and how ethanol mandates are driving up the cost of food.
Meanwhile the Patriot News has an article on the rising cost of milk-- but fails to identify ethanol mandates as the culprit. (Not to mention for the higher price of beer)
