Public Health Insurance is Not Sustainable

Fraser Institute study reports that "health insurance costs are growing faster than our ability to pay." While this may sound like a report that would support Governor Rendell's "Cover all Pennsylvanians" plan, I should mention this is a report on Canadian health coverage. The style of government run health insurance Governor Rendell is proposing is failing in Canada.

The Fraser Institute recommends that Canada expand private sector competition in health insurance and allowing individual patients to pay for health care of all kinds - ideas Pennsylvania policymakers should learn from.
