How Pennsylvania keeps health care costs high

Wal-Mart has rolled out a program to sell prescription drugs for $4; however Pennsylvania won't allow this. Instead, the states requires Wal-Mart to charge a minimum of $9 per prescription. If Governor Rendell is serious about reducing the cost of health care, he would look to repeal laws that keep prices high. Of course, this change would only benefits consumers, not his union allies.

On another note, Wal-Mart is offering "Extend Benefits", which will allow individuals and employers to buy into Wal-Mart's health care plan - which has a variety of options at a relatively low cost.
