Here we go again

After dozens of incumbent Congressional Republicans lost and a Wall-Street Journal poll showing that voters' number one domestic issue was banning pork projects (following the explosion in the number of earmarks in recent years), Congress returns this week to vote on spending bills loaded with pork.

The Heritage Foundation reports that the 11 remaining appropriation bills for 2007 contain another 10,000 earmarked pork projects.
