Why Are Health Costs Rising?

NCPA Analysis on why health care cost have been escalating. The primary conclusion - third party payers drive up cost. However, when consumers of health care pay the bills - the primary example is cosmetic surgery - costs have stayed in check.

As consumer driven health care reform can keep costs down, it should not surprise you that Wal-Mart - the largest private employer - is adopting a consumer driven model in its health care plans.
