EDITORIAL | Begging the question

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review editorializes on the need to pursue REAL solutions to the transportation crisis.

Unfortunately, "The Transportation Funding and Reform Commission should be named "The Beggar's Opera" with Gov. Ed Rendell starring as a less-ethical version of Captain Macheath, leader of an amalgamated union of highwaymen. But unlike the epic theater classic, the commission's ending will not please the public."

We'll be publishing a report with Reason Foundation in the coming weeks that offers REAL solutions in addition to those we already offered at the Harrisburg hearing of the Commission.
