Pennsylvania 41st "Best State for Business"

Pennsylvania ranks 41st among the 50 states in Forbes Magazine's ranking of the the "Best States for Business." While PA ranks high on "Quality of Life" (12th) it ranks in the bottom half in "Regulatory Environment" (29th), "Economic Climate" (32nd), "Labor" (34th), "Business Costs" (38th), and "Growth Prospects" (44th).

The worst state was Louisiana (with Mississippi coming in at 48), so Pennsylvania may have finished even lower had it not been for Hurricane Katrina.
