Gaming board raking in fat paychecks

Even without slot machines up and running in Pennsylvania, there have already been some big winners from gambling - the Gaming Control Board. The Wilkes-Barre Citizens Voice reports that salaries for the gaming board's employees and political appointees are well above gaming commissions in some other states - not to mention private sector workers. Thus, it is no surprise that the Gaming Board has had to borrow millions of tax dollars from other departments after using up their original $36.1 million appropriation.
