Reformers should alter pension plan

In this exclusive Patriot-News commentary, former lawmaker John Kennedy encourages the dozens of future lawmakers (likely 50-60 new faces will be in Harrisburg come January 2007) to eschew the platinum pension that is going to be a fiscal albatross on taxpayers in just a few years.

New lawmakers are going to have to avoid getting into these lucrative pension plans if we have any hope that they will fix them.
