Pa. lawmakers find retiring pays

Excellent article from the Centre Daily Times on the coming pension crisis.

"It's a train wreck waiting to happen -- it's barreling down the tracks at us," said Centre County Controller Chuck Witmer, who controls the county's pension plan and is familiar with the state retirement systems.

"The state has created this huge obligation that nobody knows where the money's going to come from," Witmer said. "They're not talking about millions -- they're talking billions."
