CAGW Pig Book: $29 BIllion in Pork in 2006

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW) released their annual Pig Book yesterday, which indentifies $29 billion of pork-spending (defined as requests by members of Congress for special projects) in the federal budget.

Pennsylvania received $283 million in pork spending. Which is bad news if you think Pennsylvania should get as much money as say Alaska or Hawaii, and bad news if you think you shouldn't pay taxes for the Waterfree Urinal Conservation Initiative. Basically, this is bad news all around.

They have also provided a searchable database for you to find all the identified projects in Pennsylvania, or in any other state.
