Striking teachers strike again...and again...and again...

Students in the northeast PA school district of Crestwood may be getting a few more days off, thanks to the PSEA labor unions efforts to raise taxes on homeowners higher than the school board is willing.

Claiming a "lock out," the labor union is holding kids hostage in order to extract more cash out of district taxpayers.

This is nothing new in PA public education. Last year we led the nation in teacher strikes. In fact, we had more strikes than every other state in the nation combined! I guess we may as well lead in something other than just highest teacher salaries in the nation (when adjusted for the cost of living).

Check out this "Negotiations and Strike Status Information" from the PSBA on current strikes in PA.
